Typical roll cage/roll bar weights?
Just outta curiousity, how much does the average roll cage or roll bar weigh?
Are there any good ones (SCCA legal) that don't require drilling humongous holes into, or a whole lot of welding to the car's chassis.

It depends on the metal thickness, and type of steel used. Also, are you talking about a 4 point, 6 point, 10 point cage? etc.
I know you didn't ask this specifically, but...
Don't get the bolt in ones, unless you want just the ONE bar. They are not safe, and do not provide the true safety of a proper made cage.

Bolt in is safer than no cage at all, right? I don't really wanna cut the hell outta the car to put it in. I kinda want the ability to return it to completely stock at some time or another.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Bolt-in is plenty safe for auto-x, rally, drag, even SCCA racing. Hell, most (if not all) Spec RX-7's are Autopower bolt-ins, and very few people weld in extra plates. My dad's car doesn't have the extra plates, and my dad doesn't really plan to put them in even as safety conscious as he is. I put them in my car, but only because mine is going to be a dedicated track car.
If you want to make it stay stock, a bolt-in is all you need, just make sure you use the backing plates that come with the kit. You won't have to drill very many, or big holes. I think the holes for our spec Autopower cage are something like 3/8".
