Turn Signal/Flasher Control 85 GSL

I have an 85 GSL 12A wiring harness I'm trying to salvage. I want to use teh turn signal/flasher control for my custom harness, yet Chiltons and Haynes manual's don't have the same wiring for an 85. The Haynes comes close with it's 13B 85 GSL-SE as it shows the same plugs, but most of the wiring colors are way off.

Can someone tell me what's what. a simple From and To, or a scan of the manual. I will owe you big time.

Thanks

The 84's and 85's are the same. 12A and 13B.

Are you trying to put this in another non-Rex or something?

Yes. Trying to use as much of my 85 RX as a donor for a Lotus style autocross car.

The colors don't match in the Haynes manual. If I could only tell what wires are coming from, and going to I'd be fine. Without matching colors I can't tell What terminals A-R correspond to without a lot of work/.

The harness Directfreak mentioned would be ideal, but to answer your question I've attached a scan of the '84 factory diagram of the CPU. The next post is the pinout of the connector with wire codes.

Thanks

The photo you posted looks to be right on the money. Now to brush up on wiring schematics.

Thanks, you've been a great help

Yes, if you do not use schematics very often they can be a bit much. But if all you want is the flasher function, you only need to be concerned with three pins :

-Switched 12V at Q. (The cpu diagram shows pin Q coming from the seat belt warning light, but it is an error. They are missing a dot at the proper junction. The IG key line goes to pin Q and the seat belt bulb.)
-Ground at J
-Pin R goes to the turn signal switch center contact.

-John.
