Turbo Your 12a.. STEP BY STEP?
Is there a super informative thread on how to TURBO the 12A motor. I need everything from step 1 to step 1,000,000. Please any information would be great!!!!
Not a step by step but it will get you started.

Unless you run a factory 12AT setup, its a custom job.
Thus, each person's project is unique depending on turbo, carb,EFI,ignition and exhaust selection. There is no "do-all/know-all" write up that covers everything since each person will have differing opinions of what setup is best.
Now a TII 13BT swap, thats another story.Since your just transplanting one factory engine for another,it can be done step by step with "simple"(er), cut and dried instructions.

EXACTLY what he said. "moremazda's" write up is as close as you can get to what you BASICALLY need. but there are too many options and different ways of going about it. like mine, it's all custom. i'm not even using the TII exhaust manifold. only thing from a tII that i have is the damn turbo itself. just research what alot of people have done, and go stare at your engine and just start thinking. that's all you can really do. you need to completely decide how you want to go about it before you buy one part. EFI, CARB, TII TURBO, CUSTOM TURBO, MANIFOLD, where to run OIL LINES/WATER LINE, RRFPR, etc... you gotta realize what you're getting in to. i know you've been around the forums a couple years and what not... but so had i when i started my project. what i have now is COMPLETELY different from what i was trying to start with. but it's the best setup i think i could have right now for what i have in it
Planning helps a lot. I did lots of reading and nagging questions (RotaryShack, Sidepex, RotaryEngineering and Webb777). Here's the basic starting point.
1. Custom turbo header:
This will allow you to use any intake manifold as with the stock TII you can only use the stock intake.
2. Oil drain:
Either oil pan or front cover. -10 or -12.
3. Oil feed:
Tap the turbo inlet 1/8 and use -6 lines (this is almost the same ID as the stock turbo feed hard line). For supply, buy the oil adapter block from bwaits ($21.99) or "T" the stock sending unit.
4. Rising FPR (mallory 4309) and MSD F/I pump.
5. Intake: whatever you like to use + hat.
6. The rest: IC, piping etc etc.

the aluminum block rb sells that goes under the oil filter for mechanical gauge work too, right? i think it has a 3/8 npt hole in it.

your right. it is the same as RB except its $30 cheaper than RB. I just ordered one from bwaits. It will come with 3 ports (oil temp 3/8 and 2 1/8 for turbo oil feed and oil pressure), instead of 2, for extra $5.

I know Ive said this a million times but, if you tee into the factory oil pressure sender to feed the turbo,it will be UNFILTERED oil going into the turbo bearings.....not good considering the tight tolerences inside a turbo.
Youll have to mount an inline filter or better yet, get the sandwich adaptor that goes under the filter and be sure to tap into the "cleaned" passage on the block, coming out of the filter.

True but not quite. Rotaryshack has done it many times with no problem. If you look at the old cartech system, their turbo oil feed comes in from the rear banjo bolt.
yea, i don't think it's too big a deal. unless you are rockin out a very nice dual ball bearing 2,000.00 turbo. stock TII turbo's have seen worse in their days of careless owners i'm sure
hell, i don't even run water lines to mine. works beatuifully WOOOOT!
