Turbo II seats in a 83 GSL ???

Ok I just got some Turbo II seats for my FB, there a little dirty, but they where free. I wanted to know if they are really direct swaps as I heard they are? Can I swap the rails from the FB's to the Turbo II's cause the ones on the Turbo II's are bent? Let me know.

I've heard they're a direct fit, though I can't say from personal experience since I've never installed a set of TII seats.

I put a set of leather TII seats ('88 vintage, I believe) in my old '81 GSL. Later swapped them into my '84 SE. On the driver's side, 3 of the 4 bolts lined up exactly. One, I believe it was the front inner, would need the hole elongated to fit, but no more than 1/4" or so. Passenger side was a direct bolt in. As for swapping the rails, I dunno. Never had to do it, but I'd be willing to bet they'd swap esily as well. Hope this helps,

I think that you have to put on the FB rails. Other than that, no problem.

Normally FC and FB seats are fully interchangeable. You can use stock FB rails, which will work fine. But the FC rails should work to, although I'm not sure. Enlarging the holes should not be neccesary, but it seems that it makes things easier sometimes... Mostly it's the carpet that's pushing, and not the seatrails that have wrong holes. I used to have FC seats in my car (on FB rails), and it was direct bolt in.

if you put the fc seats with the fc rails in, than the drivers front inner bolt doesnt line up, its no biggie, 75% is still a b-.
if you put the fb rails on the fc seat you still have to make one hole, i think, ive only swapped rails once and put the fc rails and seats in several times
