Transmission question.......

Hey

Is the GSL-SE 5 speed different than the other models?

May need a tranny and wanted to know if I could use
other trannies from other models.......

the only difference is gearing and the se tranny is stronger than a 12a tranny

a 12a tranny will bolt to a 13b though

im using a se tranny for my 12a 5 speed swap

Umm.. Unless I'm mistaken, the GSL-SE has a taller top gear...

Right on smnc. The SE tranny is virtually identical gearing compared to the 12A tranny, except for a taller 5th gear to help alleviate the increased gas consumption of the 13B. I was also under the impression that the SE tranny wasn't any stronger than the 12A version.
