Well I have an 85 GSL with a 12A 5spd and the car does'nt take the gears when cold, and when warmed up the clutch take off is low at the peddle, everything started when me and eddierotary were swamping out intake and when it got put together he droped one of the bolts in the trans compartment hole by the intake and we looked and saw nothing so i started the car and raced it for awhile till my tranny felt looser and now its stif and I might have to drop the tranny tomorrow and check , the car take off alittle when i push on the shift *** into 1st and second, any suggestions!

what about fluid. My shifting sucked when cold. I through some synthetic in there and it all cleared up.

On the clutch, rebuild your cylinders and flush it a ton.
it helped me alot.

Moving around the tranny and disconnecting the slave from the tranny tends to let air in for some reason. Bleed it out and then try it.

Well we have come to a conclusion and I ordered a new slave cylinder, I took it off and bled it again, it worked for about 5 pumps on the peddle and then it stayed out. hopefully that fixes the problem, also on flushing the trans what oil should I use.

i put lucus 80/90 and some redline in with some synthetic 80/90. and it made the tranny feel like new.
