Are you trying to get me drunk then rape me but it will take more than that. No problem, I will be on a look out for a 626 RWD tranny but the first one will be for me, next one will be yours. Got to add them to my collection of special trannies. I just need to review the tranny diagram for an easy tear down. Whatever fits in my pocket is a freebie

A number of the local racers are using 1.8L Miata trans conversions in their E Production cars. They hold up well and have good gear spacing - better than any of the stock rotary boxes. If you do a Miata gear set you want the 1.8L not the 1.6 because Mazda still supplies replacement parts for the 1.8L

The 626 boxes also have good ratios but they did not prove to be as strong as the Miata gear sets. Plus parts are hard to find for the 626 box.
