Trailing but not leading
Got trailing spark, but no leading. Then I transfer the trailing coil to the leading insert on the dizzy and now I have leading. I whipped out my volt meter and checked if I was sending power out the leading coil, and power seemed fine! Cant be an ignitor problem, as I have 5 lying around and checked them all to be fine. Anyone have any ideas? I am trying to get atleast one problem somewhat figured out before a friend and I tow it to bad83's place next week (I will keep you informed sam when he tells me if he is free) and work on it there.
bad wire? when you switched the coil did you use the same ingition wire from the trailing side? if the leading coil is fine, then it has to be something past that in teh system. id first test the wire. also inspect the dizzy cap and rotor to make sure theyre fine. if everything checks out, id get another coil. heck, if you want a stock one ill throw one in with those springs when i ship them. just let me know.

Yeah, I used the same wire from the trailing coil to fire the leading, but then again, the volt meter reading was taken from the end of the leading plug wire, so that rules out the plug wires...And thanks for the coil help, I have an extra stock set lying around so I dont think I will be needing them
Say ughhhhhhhh....................I thought we had covered this before. If you aren't sure if you are on the leading ignitor, I can guide you through this again. Just kidding. I thought you would have had that thing here this weekend. Bring it by this week. I'm off work, and I could use another 7 to play with since I have the track car almost done. You can help me swap my LSD in it.

So at this point, the trailing coil is known to be working,
Hook the trailing ignitor, which is hooked to the trailing connector of the dizzy, output to the leading coil across the trailing wiring. Does it work? Good, the coil works. Otherwise, bad coil.
If it's not a bad coil there might be bad wiring between the leading ignitor and the coil. Do a continuity check between ignitor B and +, and ignitor C and the - side of the coil.
