Torque spec on tranny drain plug?

Is there one?

In my Mazda shop manual it says the rear axle needs to be 20 ft/lb. So i was wondering if there was a torque spec on the tranny fill and drain plug. Last time I just tightened them "pretty tight".

Thanks.

The "GE" torque should do just fine

Its an aluminum casing, steel bolt with a brass washer.
Just get firmly, no need to soil yourself tightening it.

I cant find any specs on it either.

The tranny fill is a tapered plug, use ant-seize on the threads. Kim covered the rest quite well.

24mm shallow head bolt with a magnet to catch gear chunks. From what I can tell, they have copper washers. Copper can stand up to more than brass or aluminum.

Using antiseize on the fill plug sounds like a good idea. I'll have to do that.
