how fast will a stock 84 rx-7 go ???

 

running properly..... easily 300 kph
running average....... 60-100 kph redline!! LOL

 

**** nobody else answered, okay seriously....

on my car...

1st...... 50kph
2nd..... 80kph
3rd...... 125kph
4th...... 175kph
5th...... never redlined that gear.

My car is a 13B motor, GSL-SE with almost all bolt-ons I could get.
All I need is a light flywheel, MSD 6al, and a light driveshaft and I'm done. Unless I end up porting the motor.

Just found Factory recommended shift points

GEAR------------Carb--------------EGI (gsl-se)
1st .................22kph...............24kph
2nd.................38kph...............40kph
3rd..................51kph...............64kph
4th..................70kph...............72kph
5th............................................... ......

I don't think those are at redline, but thats what it says in the 1984 owners manual. So that is an approximation of stock results.

 

over what ever the speedo says since my speedo dont work. 5th gear at 8000 RPM.

 

with the 12a, about 120mph.

with the 13b, about 135?

 

I got 210kph in my 12A turbo, but then ran out of road. Felt like it could've gone more though
