timing question.

I had my dizzy out and just want to make sure that I put it back in correctly. I matched the two marks on the bottom of the dizzy and made sure that the leading mark was lined up with the pin. After I put the dizzy in, the rotor was pointing straight toward the passanger side of car (about 12 o' clock if facing the dizzy). Should I take it back out and put it in so that the rotor points more toward the front rotor housing (about 1-2 o' clock)? When I say "pointing toward" I mean the part of the rotor that has the arrow on it.

Thanks,

Mike

be sure that you are on TDC (flywheel trick), then line up the notches on the dizzy

Line the notch up to the middle indention on the dizzy. Drop the dizzy straight in so that the 10mm lock bolt sits right in the middle. Nudge the dizzy to the right a couple mm and you should be right on target.
