Timing problems

I recently replaced my engine and when setting the time the leading was no problem. I could not get the trailing to line up with its mark. It ran ok idled rough then today it started runiing even rougher and when accelerating it studders and doesn't wont to go above 3.5k.
I check the vaccum lines and they all look ok.

Please help

what do you mean you cant get the mark to line up? Does it move when you try to adjust it?

then your dizzy may be off a tooth. I had that issue, when we put in the dizzy it was turned 1 tooth, so for leading to be right the dizzy was turned all the wayt 1 way, and trailing wouldnt line up. You will probably have to pull ur distributor and retry.
