Timing Help

Ok so im trying to set the timing up on my locked dizzy.... I have an msd direct fire system on the leading. (Motor is a Turbo'd gsl-se)

I am able to set my leading to 10degrees btdc, and then when it comes to do the trailing, its 180 degrees off... wtf! I've tried stabbing several times at tdc, but no luck! Any ideas? I thought if i had caught the wrong tdc that the leading would have been off 180 degrees aswell......

Could it be your trailing wires are switched around on the cap ?

be SURE you have separate timing light timing for leading and trailing
be SURE the tailing timing for T1 is not showing you the opposite side of the front pulley
if it is -
then the timing light is picking up the wastespark leading signal
or the trailing igniter is still reversed polarity and firing sympathetically at max dwell overcharge dump

- establish that leading is leading, and trailing is trailing , all separate on the timing light
Timing light interference?

Well yeah that's the point of 'locking' it, but isn't it both? I don't believe I've ever seen someone with their vacuum pots hooked up on a locked dizzy..
