timing?

are ther any problems that can occur with rotaries if the timing is to far advanced or retarded for a long period of time?

Yes. Timing is pretty important.

Too far retarded and you'll burn up your exhaust system. Too far advanced and you're dealing with pre-ignition and it could cause high engine temps due to the early flame.

and does it make a difference where each coil is connected if it does can someone tell me which goes where

Recommend that you download the FSM for your year vehicle. All of these general questions are answered in there. Plus it is a great way to get aquainted with the various systems on your vehicle and how they work.

Forgot to add, yes it does make a difference which goes to which.

i hate to be a nuisance but front/rear(coil) leading trailing? didnt find in FSM it asumes you were paying attention when they were removed

The front coil (closest to the headlamps) is the trailing.
