Timing

The timing was right on and it was running nice and smooth when it sputtered farted and would'nt start. Checked the timing and now the lead is on the trailing mark.Pull the dizzy and the to get the lead on the mark its at the end of the adjustment slot ( either end ) and the trailing won't come to the mark. I'm ready to pull out what little hair I have.

It may be possible that your leading igniton died and your light is picking up the trailing signal. Try to put the leading coil wire near the strut tower and crank the car over to verify spark.
