Does the notch t the bottom of dizzy shaft and the rivets on the gear have any relation there is two rivets and a slight dimple and then a extruded notch on the shaft are these supposed to be lighned up before dropping it back in cover? I noticed when i line up the dimple and the notch on the dizzy shaft its pretty close to the L1 postion. i thought i had it in there close cause the car ran. Didnt think these would run when they are way out of wack. hope i didnt do any damage to car. never heard the pinging noise f course i have never heard it on anything other than a piston motor.
