TII turbo.

I was searching for a link on how to install a TII turbo on a GSL-SE. All the searches are TII engine swaps. I'm looking for a thread that explains the installation of just the turbo system only (S4 or S5) on an SE. Anybody know?

Check the 2nd gen FAQ for info on building a 6-port turbo. The 13b in a GSL-SE is very similar to what's found in S4 NAs, so you're basically looking at the same process. A couple pieces of advice: don't go the cheap route when it comes to tuning, and don't expect the stock TII turbo to hold much boost to redline with large ports.

"Don't go the cheap route when it comes to tuning"................. do you mean that I should invest in a good stand-alone ECU?

"Don't expect the stock TII turbo to hold much boost to redline with large ports...........My SE internals are stock. It is not ported. Is this what you are referring to?

Something to note: GSL-SEs only have 2 injectors. Meaning you're gonna need a couple of really big ones, or to add another rail and injectors somehow. Maybe it'd be easier to adapt an FC UIM to the -SE LIM. No matter what, you're gonna need a standalone.

Beyond that, it should be mostly the same as an S4 NA-T project. Lots of those in the second-gen forum.

Budget route, get a haltech F5, a s4 lower intake (some fab work involved) so you can have 4 injectors (the F5 will controll the added 2) and lock the dizzy at 10 degrees.
