Throttle Position Sensor
I recently picked up an 85 13b for next to nothing. In addition to needing side seals, it has this really nagging issue with fuel. It will idle and hold rev's at about 2500, but then cuts out. Under load, it's much worse. Checked the throttle sensor with the test lights, and couldn't get 'em to light (used testing procedure as outlined in a previous thread). Prior to ordering a new sensor, does this sound problem sound consistent with the throttle sensor diagnosis?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you can't get even 1 of the 2 lights to turn on, it does sound like a bad TPS. Before I spent the $140 on a new Factory TPS, I'd make sure to adjust it to the full range using the screw on the TB rod and see if I could get it to work.
Remember that once you have your 'test-light-rig' set up, you want to adjust it *just* so that the 2nd light goes out at smooth and perfect idle. This ensures that your off-idle acceleration is working correctly.
Give that a shot - it couldn't hurt, and your TPS may just be so far out of tune that you're not getting good lights. HTH, report back if questions,
BTW, welcome to the forums on your 1st post! This is a great place to get help for stuff just like this,
