Throttle issue since installation of new carburetor.

hi i am having a little problem. i put on my new carb now she starts right up. but there is a problem. i turn it on my foot is not even on the gas. the motor revs up to 7000rpm then i turn off the motor so it will not go over redline. tryed it one more time did the same thing. so we took off the cable to the gas so i cant rev it or to see if the cable is short and is pulling on the gas. did the same thing. all the hoses are pluged and i dont know the problem?

No The butterfly's should not be open. You need to adjust the linkages

Throttle plates should be closed when the car is off.... You say they are open?

Okay, there should be a small gap on the primaries but the secondaries should be closed. When it shoots up on idle, can you look into the carb and see where the fuel is coming from (primaries or secondaries)?

Maybe bang on the top of the carb with a plastic handle of a screwdriver in case the needles aren't seating?

Most likely, that is your issue. The small ones are the primaries, and the big ones are the secondaries. If the secondaries are open enough to draw air, then they will also draw fuel.

Check out your linkage for any binding. Has this been modded, mech secondaries by any chance? Make sure the OMP linkage is not binding too.

What the hell is a "white nipple for the gas"?

Make sure it won't bind again at a time.....
