You mean these?

Mine is really simplified since it's modded, but I think those are the two things you're talking about. One is the "teeter totter" and the other is the return spring.

its not the two bigger ones...its the two small ones that are on that the metal rod assemblly
and i would need a close up of the throttle arm assembly to show what the two little round springs connect to....if yours is modded what did you do to it and what are the effects

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner, been busy. I think I know what two springs you're talking about... I've shuffled them around so they're probably not connected to whatever they were on originally. There's a couple more pics of my linkage in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/nikki-carb-modding-964025/page4/

I basically removed everything but the basic stuff. I have one cam to open the throttle. No cruise control or choke. All emissions were removed so anything associated was discarded. The secondary shaft is tethered to the primary shaft - a.k.a. the "mechanical secondaries mod." That way the secondary plates are automatically pulled open around 1/2 throttle instead of under vacuum load. More info and write ups on that mod can be found in the first gen FAQ.
