Things You Don't Wanna Do With A Fb!!!

FROM EXPERIENCE... don't clog up the smog pump with an AUTOZONE small filter, I placed the original hose back on and it feels better.... Don't let hyper kids or an adult who acts like a kid get near your FB... they dent easily... MAKE sure those hoses that drain out water from the back and on the sunroof is free flowing and not clogged up for any reason.... don't put holes of some on the intake box...heard stories from a friend who put a whole on his carb box... small pieces of metal might have been left there... don't put cheap synthetic crap just to save money on oil.... rotaries like quality expensive things... .... make sure all nuts and bolts are tighten tight with a wrench and not by hands... SEX with a 6'10" woman in your FB... or vise versa for girls in the forum....

If you got a THINGS YOU DON'T WANNA DO WITH A FB... post it...

Dont let people who drive piston cars drive your rotary, they all seem tho think that all rotary motors are suposed to rev out to 10k.

dont use gear oil, as a substitute for 20-50 because you think thicker oil is better.

dont smoke in your car

Dont add gas to your oil, add oil to your gas

dont put a "powered by" or "mazda" sticker on your car. (I.E. i think its retarded to have a huge "civic" sticker across the windshield of a civic. we all know what it is.)

dont have your seat all the way lead back with one hand on the wheel slouched over and leaning. wile driving.

the rims on your car should not be smaller than stock.

dont put flame tint on your windows.

*these are all my opinions. dont take it to hard for im an idiot that knows nothing*

And don't let people drive you FB who think low rpm torque is 'dabomb'. I can still see my dad driving up the road (last Sunday) with it already in third while only going 20mph. lurching trying to go uphill.

And later I go outside because I hear a strange sound. My brother is just sitting there revving the engine enough to make it backfire (leaky exaust). He says :"it sounds different."

sa list: don't use the points ignition unless you are a mechanic over fifty and enjoy the crappy nature of adjusting them for a better, still shitty, lower voltage spark. don't ever mess up the gas tank, they're a bitch to find in good shape. don't ever attempt to use the scissor jack on gravel, no comments.

Dont up your idle over 1500 rpm just because it runs smoother. Fix the problem instead of masking it by upping the idle.

Don't remove the oil filter without first putting a hole in it with a screwdriver or you will have an oily mess.

Do not, repeat DO NOT ever think to yourself, "I know I didn't get all the old oil outta the engine... I really wanna fill it with clean oil, how can I get it all out?" And then think your smart when you spot the Craftsman 6.0 HP Shop Vac/Leaf Blower (With a maximum 200 MPH wind velocity) in the corner of the garage... Cause man, I'll tell ya... That wind will hurl a lot of oil around...

DON'T drive around for a long time with a clogged exhaust. Unless, of course...you like the thought of your cats heating up, and exploding.

Don't overheat your rotary...

Don't let your friends wear beer goggles - they may ask you to take home their 350 pound "date"

don't put a 2nd gen AIR FLOW METER... it doesn't work... don't put a cheap CAT converter... it'll melt with the rotary heat.... don't remove anything that you don't know about, cuz it could be of some important to the car....

Don't under rev it! Make sure you rev the **** out of it every now and then to clean out the carbon buildup.

Do not smash your RX into another car.

Do not smash your RX into a stationary object.

Do not roll your RX over.

Do not allow any ****-ant's (big or small) to smash into your RX.

Do not allow ****-ants to live after #.|_|.(.|<.1.|\|.9 with your RX.

it would be funny to put a F-150 emblem on the back of the RX.

dont call a someone who is having sex, and have them explian how to deflood your engine.
reasons:
1.they tell you the wrong (hard, long) way to do it
2.they get really really mad

to explain that, i called the local racing shop thing, and got some guy who sounded like he was having sex. i tald him my engine was flooded and he told me to take the spark plugs out and turn it over a couple of times. so i did that, and 1. it didnt de-flood it. 2. i got the leading and trialing spark plugs mixed up when i was putting them back in. i eventually learned the right why to deflood the engine, with the engine ignition fuse

For those people looking at buying an FB... Don't skimp on the compression test unless you are planning on an engine rebuild for porting etc. I got lucky but I won't risk it when I buy my next RX-7. (I've only had this one for 9 months and I want another already! Talk about hooked!).

Don't do the ATF thing unless your motor really needs it...

Do read the rx7club.com forums whenever you can and read every FAQ and manual you can find before pulling your baby apart! - 'hmm now how does that bit go back on there??'

..Matt

1) don't take it to the "regular" mechanic, have a rotary guy check it out if possible
2) don't crash into old ladies, small children, large pets, or other fb's
3) don't get pulled over
4) don't let friends puke inside the fb
5) don't let yourself puke inside the fb
AND....
6) don't urinate on, in or near the fb
