they won't fit

i'm posting this for my freind he has a 83 gsl and he bought some phone dials and they won't fit. i'm a 2nd gen guy and i don't no why. i've searched and all i got was they fit gsl-se and se. what can he do to make them fit?

your frieds lug patter is 4x110mm, the phone dials are 4x114.3 (I believe) or 4x113mm. Either way, they wont fit regular models, just the GSL-SE model with the EFI 13B.

bolt patterns are different..4x100,for 1st gen and 4 x114.3(second gen)

12a first gens have 4x110mm
13b first gens have 4x114.3mm
2nd gens came with 4x114.3(base) and 5x114.3 (everything else)
