are you talking about the part that fits over the combination switch on the column?

honestly I feel it would look very out of place with the rest of the car. Id rather see replica grey parts for 84/85. (the grey upper surround is no longer available)

But yea I feel the surround should match the dash, so if you want to make a carbon fiber dash....

But in all seriousnes I carbon fiber stereo surround would be WICKED

I agree that the c/f is cool, but it would have to be multiple pieces (the stereo surround, the column surround, shifter surround and the guages).. Too much for one time, but I doubt many people would buy one without the others.

I agree. I would be interested if there were more pieces to follow.

starting with the steering surround, I'd buy any interior stuff you make in Carbon Fiber Dan... I need a new surround anyways, as I cracked mine changing my combo switch....

Screw the looks, I'd like one so i wouldn't have to worry about the damn thing cracking anymore, remember CF is STRONG it's not just for looks... AND IT"S PAINTABLE if you don't like the way cf would look in your car...

Well than I will start looking for a place that can make the molds for all of this stuff.

just to give you guys a heads up it will take some time as I now have homework to do on this and make it all fit like it should [right] and as money flows into this task but I will keep you all posted as this un-folds.

do you plan to autoclave your CF parts? from what i know about CF...with out autoclaving it becomes brittle after a while and looses alot of its strengh...I have an autoclave that would fit stereo benzles...and would trade its use for a 83 benzle
