temperature sensor broken

temperature sensor broken

uhm my temperature sensor looks like its not working, i mean it always stays all the way to the left in [C]old. isnt it suppose to be at least half way when the car has warmed up? if yes then how cna i fix it or do i need the stupid car manual to fix it or is a fuse?

Does your heater blow hot air when its cold outside? If not, change your thermostat. Make sure the engine is actually warming up properly before you start fixing your gauge.

uh yeah im sure it warms up b/c even after i been driving it for 30 minutes the thing is still all the way in cold. and no when its cold it donesnt blow hot air in the heater it only does when the car has warmed up.

Could be that a wire has broken or came unplugged. I would check around engine bay for things that are not plugged in or possible broken/loose wires.

Check like Ian said. The sensor is located below the oil filter. It looks like a little sparkplug with a single bullet connector on the tip of it.
