temperature guage wire disconnected?

well, my engine flooded this morning, so before school, i took the plugs out. when i was putting them back in i think i pulled out this yellow wire under, or beside the oil filter. i think it is the temperature gauge wire becuse well.....starting today after i pulled it out, the gauge didnt work anymore.

can anyone help me with identifying where it plugs back in, and if it just plugs in. it still has that clip thing on the exposed wire. (with speakers they plug into the accepting end with a big plastic thing surrounding it) so is that what i should be looking for, attatched to where on the engine?

It's real easy. It should have a female spade on it. It plugs right into the sensor which is in the block just under and to the front of the oil filter tower.

Nope, thats the oil pressure sender. The temp gauge sender uses a bullet connector. The sender looks like a mini spark plug. They are in the same general location however. The OP sender is a big gold colored round thingie (tech term).

yep...but the temp sensor is right down there by it. It's closer to the front of the engine...either way it's easy to find and I guess it doesn't hurt to know there's going to be this bulb looking glavanized sensor plugged in the same area...that's not the one you want...lol...

Its ok, you just described the wrong one. Oh and it's not galvanized, its cadmium plated, hence the gold tone.
