Likewise Jesse - did the same thing this week: full can in 1/8th tank per Kentetsu - some smoke, bit hard to start first thing in the morning; sounded like it was running on one rotor for the first 30sec-60sec - fine after, tho I can't say I noticed any power increase, etc. Still seems like a good idea - plan to do it once a driving season (about 3K miles)

Going to go try this for the first time today.

You will more than likely notice an increase in MPG.

I just don't see why you should even bother with the smoke show. Just dump the shit in the gas tank and you won't have to worry about it. But hey, my teenage son doesn't listen to me either.....
+1! i put in a can on my last fill up through the gas tank...no smoke going this route. It cleans what it needs to clean and your 12A is happy :) |
I'm going to try the seafoam in my 12A with 165,000 miles on it. It's been my DD for many years. Should I be worried about my fuel filter? Saw one thread that said to put an extra filter right before carb.

It should pass thru the filter with no problems because it dilutes into gasoline.
|
Thanks, I'll be blowing smoke shortly!

mainly for carb cars?

Drove it like a banshee for an hour, about 45 miles. Throttle response is definitely better. Now I need to reset my idle, seems too rich and slightly hunty.
Is it normal to get unhappy towards 7,000 rpm and backfire there? |
