Come on you guys, you're taking the fun out of it. Pour it right down those primaries and secondaries with the engine revving.

I did it in my gas once, didn't feel much as when I went directly through the vacuum line. I don't know what happens if you pour it down the carb with it running, then drive it around when the can is gone... I choke my car with the last bit and let it sit atleast overnight.

Cant seem to get hold of this stuff in Europe, especially in Tenerife, Spain. But if anyone knows of anywhere that would be great.
|
I'd love to try it, but I can't figure out where I'd do it without seriously pissing off the neighbors.

I just don't see why you should even bother with the smoke show. Just dump the shit in the gas tank and you won't have to worry about it. But hey, my teenage son doesn't listen to me either.....

I'm with kentetsu on this one.

I am just now trying the sea foam in my gas tank. The truck I sold to get this rx was a 1962 IHC Scout 80. The motor was original. AFter the tune up it still back fired often and died occasionally. I added sea foam to the gas tank and from the moment I drove it next it did not back fire or stall. It continued to drive better the more I drove it, until I sold it to get an rx.
I added it to the crank case of the Scout and regretted it. It caused some external oil leaks that were probably plugged with coagulated oil over the years. Then I had to replace gaskets or connections. But that show what it can do to clean up the inside of the motor. On the plus side, it showed where the weak links were in the sealing of the motor. |
Guys I just bought this one from ebay

thats about how much i pay in store....and hes in dominican so it may not be available
|
yeah that's about the store price for me too, and well the first time i did it i only used half a can, but if your car's been sitting for a while i'd recommend to put half in the gas tank and the other half into the engine and let it sit over night, or a bit longer

Somebody should dyno prove that this stuff works. Take an engine that feels on its last leg and dyno a before and after.
It helped my GXL. I put 1 bottle into the gas tank and filled it up. Gained me 4-5 MPG. |

Put a can in my tank this morning, and there was a very noticeable increase in power right away, especially in the lower rpm ranges. Good stuff. :)

on a personal experience...ive tried the gas tank first...then thru the manifold...i noticed a bigger difference after i did it thru the manifold...also, if you go thru the tank...you dilute the seafoam with the fuel...the reason why people go thru the manifold is because its a lot more concentrated...and able for more cleaning power... |
Why not put it in an old empty Windex bottle or something and spray it into the carburetor while it's running?
|
Im not gonna lie, I follow the instructions on the bottle and stick it in a very low tank of gas and drive the shit out of it. Results are good, fumes arent bad.......
