Taurus Fan Fitment?

How well does the 3.8L V6 Taurus fan fit in a stock '84? Recently had the rules for my racing class changed to allow conversions to electric fans (or just removing the fan) and based on the little bit of browsing Ive done this seems to be the favored fan however want to make sure itll fit before I go through the effor of finding the parts and putting it in. Ill have to double check its allowed but if possible was thinking Id do a custom aluminum shroud so I can still use the stock mounting brackets and insure all air is truly going through the rad instead of around

IIRC you just have to trim the bottom right of the fan to clear the lower rad hose and the rest fits snug.

I never knew the Taurus fan would fit in a rx7.

When I did a fan conversion we bought a new universal one from autozone. it was smaller than the radiator, but it was more than sufficient. we wired it to a toggle switch, and later down the line i was told he wired it to go off at a certain temp.

was in a 81, btw.

I keep meaning to do it to my 85, but i keep putting it off.....
