I've read quite a few threads about the Targa Bar for the 7, I also read a post that said something about there was more to the car than the bar itself; something along the lines of a front and rear spoiler (I think this was it).

Why I want to know is there is one in the local salvage yard (that is where I got my moon-roof, it was on the same car).

im thinking about doing a targa for my car andi figured just get a salvaged 300zx and cut the roof off or an mr2 and do the same, which ever is smallest, or just make it myself...

 

you are correct. it was called the IMSA GTU kit. it consisted of a fron air dam, teh targa band, which was stainless steel and plastic, and a rear spoiler. it was an optional kit in 84 and 85. grab the pieces if you can!!!

 

Was the band the one or the three piece?? this one is three piece but it reads mazda and not targa.

Is the spoiler/ air-dam removable or is it molded to the body? I'm not nessacearly interested in the band but in the air dam and rear spoiler, if it is that desiarable I'll get all of it an sell the band.

 

the targa band was a three piece and it did say "mazda" on the side. the air dam is removable. get it all and sell it!!! or mount it to your car and have a great and worthwhile package!!! all i am missig is the front spoiler.
