Taking black trim pieces off car?

How are the trim pieces held on? i dont want to just pry them off and break any clips if there are any?

No fasteners. They are held on with gluey double sided tape. The moudings can be a REAL PAIN to get off, just take your time and be careful. I would recommend going to a music store and buying a thin guitar string to cut them off with. This is what I did and it works pretty well.

Gasoline works. I think most of us have first hand experience with the trim piece under the filler door.
