Question Taillights

I live on a dirt road (@$&*^@*) and I noticed a thick layer of dirt on the inside of my taillights...
Plus a good ammount of water after washing my car.

How can I take these off, and what's the best way to put them back on to prevent further leaking?

and I hate living on that dirt road.. car is always dirty. Wash it, and that afternoon it's freaking dirty again... I need to get an air purifier for the inside of my car, or my cd grabbers on my new deck will get dirty in no time.

it really sucks.
CA emmisions suck too. Can't do a thing to my car, or it wont pass smog.

Take them off the car, and use a heat gun to soften up the glue that holds the outer lens on. I don't know what would be the best to use to glue them back on, I used some silicone gasket maker I had left over one time.

What is the best way to get them off? I have the same problem with dirt underneath them but I don't want to damage the plastic when i take them off

I took them off, and kinda pryed at them with a small screwdriver. The old glue was so brittle it didn't take much to get them apart. Took forever to chip all of the old glue away from them though. Then i put some trom glue on them, let them sit clamped down for about a day, and now they are as good as new.

How do they look once glued and put back together? Really nice? I've got dirt and spiders and such in mine, but the glue is falling off, so I'll have to replace that too. Is there any specific brand that works really well? Thank you!
