Tach Wire Problems

So I mentioned this in my dlidfis thread but I am still having trouble with it.

Everything was going fine with my DLDIFIS, i feel the power increase and easier start up but my tach has been acting up. Every now and then it will not register and kind of "pulse" - during this time I have to give the car more gas (I found out this is due to the fact that the fuel pump runs off same circuit so it makes sense that if tach is having power shortage so is pump). It usually picks up after about 5 minutes or so, nothing terrible until today....

So a long day of cleaning, homework and car maintenance is topped off when my car dies when im in line at the Burger King drive thru...after I had ordered my food.... I had to push the car past the windowand tell the girl id go in and pay... ******* humiliating

Before it died i was sitting in the drive thru and i was watching my tach and it slowly started to fail, struggled and then died.
So once parked- - 1st i made sure all connections were snug and secure which they were.
Then i tried starting it and nothing, no gas no gauge readings, nothing.

I waited for about 30 minutes and tried again and nothing. So I left it there and tried once more at night. It started after a couple tries and as soon as it did the tach started working and it drove perfectly once more.

After reading this awesome thread it suggests 2 things - replace igniter or repair faulty connection

1] If it were my igniter - then my igniter would always be weak period. This meens my tach would always be acting up right? But this isnt the case so could i assume my igniter is fine?

2] Faulty connection - I assumed it meant the tach wire to the trailing NEGATIVE coil... so i polished up both connections... what else or what other connectopns could I repair?

I have to get this fixed because playing "Russian Roulette" with my 7 is not fun! I dont know where it will leave me next!!!

Thanks
Aure
