T2 parts question.

so i sold my camden 7 inch for 1500. im gonna do a t2 swap instead. My previous motor had 6k miles on it and it took a **** on me. I have good t2 housings and t2 rotors. Should i buy a t2 car for cheap and swap all the electronics and everything and then get the motor rebuilt? ive already got t2 tranny, rear end, driveshaft and some other stuff. So my question is should i buy a t2 car or buy the parts individually?

Doing a factory EFI TII swap with an entire car to pillage is much easier.
Not that you couldnt track down all the parts you need, but it can be a pain.Plus, youd have to be careful not to mix and match styles of 13BT parts that arent interchangable. If you have the whole car at once, you know it will all work together.

I did my old S4 setup without buying a car,but I got lucky in that a complete 87 TII was in the local wrecking yard and I got first shot at it.My later S5 swap was done easily too, since I gutted a racecar someone was prepping for a V-8 swap.
