Swapping radio bezel

Would an 81 radio bezel bolt in to a 79 SA?

The dash frame underneath the center console is different, so the mounting points likely wouldn't match; the 81+ console is "longer" in terms of its extention towards the back of the car to accommodate the longer tranny/shifter location, so this might affect the shape of the bottom of the center bezel in terms of how it will match up with the shifter cover... these are guesses. really need to hold them side-by-side to be sure.

It will fit if you use the S1 shifter console with a lil mod.
