suspension questions again
ok...
I have a 1980 RX7 and was looking to get front control arms at a salvage yard. Here's the dilema. VB lists different part numbers for the 1979-1982 vs the 1983-1985. What's up with that?
Also, are the coil springs for the 13b cars stiffer and can I use them with my current setup.
I am considering changing my front end struts and parts to a 1985 GSL front so I have better choices on struts and get better bearings. Do I have to change the booster and master cylinder as well? I am going to use the brakes from the 1985 and the brake lines.

if you are changing anything in the brake system, i think you're gonna need different master cylinders and proportioning valves. oh yea, what kind of rx-7 do you have? if its a gs, i think you are definitely going to need different brake components, not sure about gsl though. the best way to do it is go to your local mazda dealer and ask for brake components parts list and go through it. check for anything different between part numbers. chances are, you are going to need to replace those components. or simplest way to do it is go to racing beat and get the parts for your car.

the slave and master cylinder have different part numbers.
I was also wondering why the lower control arms have different part numbers. The 1979-1982 ish are the same and then the 83-85 are different part numbers.
