Suspension, please dont laugh

Hi, ive come to a crossroad in my suspension. I have an 84 GSL-SE and my car is sitting like 4 inches off the ground maybe 5. I want to buy new springs, but the ones that keep it its original height are like 100 bucks each, and the 1 inch drop ones are only 50. I was considering buying these ones with the one inch drop. Now where the question comes in is, my springs are 20 years old, do u think the 1 inch drop would raise my car higher than it currently is or lower than it currently is?

chances are your car would end up the same height it is now...Unless your car hasn't sagged noticably.
What you could do is find out if those new springs have an area of "dead" coils which can be cut to adjust the ride height without affecting the spring rate. I know that my eibach springs have this.

Itll probably end up close to where it is now like Jimmy said, maybe a little higher. What you can do is to get the aftermarket springs, and if it sits too low for you, then add a rubber spring spacer between tha springs and the body. Theyre like $10 a piece at NAPA. They are 1" in thickness, should restore your height just fine. Or you could skip the springs and just get the spacers for now. I think theyre made by Mr Gasket.
