do superchargers use BOV like Turbos or do they use something else to relieve the excess pressure?

 

superchargers dont experience nearly as much surge as turbos from the sudden let off the throttle because they are directly connected so as the engine speed decreases boost decreases. but i have seen them in supercharged setups. maybe they have them as a safety precaution for when the boost gremlins go crazy?
