Super quick question

On a 1983 RX 7, which is the LEADING ignitor mounted to the distributor? The one facing the radiator or the one closest to the engine?

Motor won't start and we taken the coil leads out of the distributor and shorted each one. The trailing coil showed a very nice spark but the leading coil was ZERO! We changed to another coil and still nothing. So we're figuring ignitor(s). Correct?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Our Pro7 race car will not start.

Thank you!!

Eric

^^^ Yes, that is correct. Make sure the cap and rotor are in good shape too, otherwise it sounds like you are on the right track. Good luck with it, and post back with some pictures!
