Where are you getting the Homelink from? They only come in OEM cars. Last time I checked, No aftermarket for them.

Please keep me posted on what you do here - I am interested. I really wanted a homelink for my Ford S'crew, but it wasn't available until later. I wanted it to replace the garage doors openers, & the various gate openers of my community off my visor to replace them with a small homelink.

Either way, I will have a Sooopa-charged Harley Davidson S'crew to replace mine this weekend. It does come with the Homelink from factory.

But I'd still definatley want one for the SE. If you check out the new RX-8, it has it built into the rear-view mirror!

You can see it through the 360 interior view:

Regarding where I got the Homelink.........
I keep watching E-bay...........Picked one up for 10.00..
It was in a damaged sunvisor.................I am painting it
to match my interior
They have some really nice ones in the explorer...that also has a voice recorder......
My neighbor has one..........did not realize there was a message saved on it........after work he gets in.....notices that there is a message and listens......
It was his wife telling him to come back in the house and not go to work......she has something special for him...........too late.........he calls home.......she tells him to ---- off.............Check those messages..........

Jim, is the homelink just in the visor? or does it have a "Brain" somewhere else in the car?

What's HomeLink? Ford's version of OnStar for the American market?

Ah.

('Gated communities' are all but unknown in Canada - the closest thing we have to fortifying against fellow citizens is hockey helmets)
