Success in adjusting the manual steering box on an 84 Rx7 GSL
I also have an MTheory RP and am, being near Boston, wicked happy with it. That said, you still have the box and need to get back to baseline. You didn't drive much with it tightened up like that, correct? It can wear the nut to sector shaft interference fit and make proper adjustment impossible. I think you should follow the instructions in post #1 of this thread. It's what I followed and it helped.
I didn't really understand how all of the parts interact when I did my adjustment so I dived in and tried to really get the "why" of it. I wrote that up in this post:

Edit, ignore what I said in the (now) struck out text. Based on what you wrote, it sounds like the sector shaft preload is as loose as it can get right now. Same suggestion though, read the instructions above and what I did in the linked post. Then you can approach it well informed. Of course avoid driving with it being misadjusted

His user name is MTheoryInc on this forum. Look up his visitor page and PM him. He is not a big company with websites and come-ons. This is a link to the thread where he and others were discussing Techno Toy and Re-Speed's kits.
