Sub Zero Reservior

Anybody know what it's for and what it's hooked up to? It's a reservoir on the firewall near the washer fluid reservoir and there's a rubber hose that comes off of it and goes all the way across the left side of the firewall. The hose isn't hooked up to anything on my car and I don't knwo if it's hurting anything. Also my AC clutch and/or compressor died today. That sux. I just got the carb rebuilt and everything back to normal, now this. AC isn't nearly as important as not getting enough fuel though. Wish some of you guys lived near me.

It's meant for helping the car start when it's VERY cold outside. Unless you live in a place where it gets more than 10below on a regular basis, then it's useless and you should just take it out.

it's there to assist in starting the engine in freezing temperatures.

It does get down to around 20 degrees sometimes. Not usually though. I have no idea how long it's been liek that so I don't knwo if it was helping or hurting last winter. The car ran better in winter than summer so I guess it's fine.

How much fluid is there in that tank? My guess is that's it's probably full, and either doesn't work or has never gotten cold enough to work. The sub zero assist is useless, just throw it in the trash.
