I know last year i took some stuff to sell to cover the cost to attend the event. All i had was $20.00 dollors and that went into gas to get there and back home.
the people who bought parts were very thankfull because no such parts could be found in there area to complete there car(s) it also made it possible for me to be able to buy a sevenstock6 t-shirt for $ 20.00 dollors. so as a result of me selling a couple small items, i made a couple of bucks and inturn so did the event. I hear'ya bernie.

All we need to do is set-up a place to sell or trade some items saturday after the show.. We can pick a general location close to where everyone will be staying. I think it's a great idea to get some parts we can't get where we live. What do you guys think of a location? Holiday inn parking lot after SS7??

Hey, I forgot to add that I have some Racing slicks for sale. they're used but have plenty of depth left and are still rather soft. I have 2 pair, firestone firehawk and goodyears. they are both 22x9x13. I'm only asking $25 a pair. I need to make room in my garage for a car. I also have a brand new set of Intrax springs for a Mazda protege.(asking $140 o.b.o.)

if you don't know,,,, that parking lot will be full and i don't think they will think too highly of that going on in there lot. just be discreet, low profile, no "eye sore" signs or box's of parts around the cars, remember were 'guest's'. IMO

I'm not saying to start a swap meet in the lot. We all know who we are getting parts from and just needed a place to exchange them. That's all..

I'm not trying to rain on the parade or anything, but please respect the event day and venue... you see "low-key" WAS cool until whoever started this thread BLEW IT for everyone!!!

All I said was, don't do it at the event!!! A lot of folks work really hard to put this thing on every year, and to have a few not play by the rules and make it harder than it is, is not COOL!!

I'm all for you guys finding an off-site location an going at it... btw, the Hilton hotel parking is probably not a good idea because you have to pay to get in... maybe you guys can get something together somewhere else. I'm all for it, but just chill at SevenStock... you guys have no idea how contentious this issue has been this year!

Why are you saying we will do this during the event. I read through this whole thread and no one has mentioned selling at the event..

Great idea!!! the So-Cal Club actually hosts an event like this already. It's usually around the CINCO DE MAYO holiday.... we call the Cinco De Mayo, Spring Cleaning event & Toy Show.... We might do one later this year. Stay tuned!

I'm not a moron or the principal of high school... or any other stupid title you want to give me.... I'm just another rotorhead who's spent a lot of time and energy, along with many other dedicated rotorheads, to organize one of the coolest rotary events around, for all fellow rotorheads to enjoy! An Gonzz, this means you too... we really want you to enjoy and have a great time, but there are a FEW rules that we need to follow on Mazda property.

Sorry this has gotten a little out of hand, but you guys have to understand what's at stake! That's it from me!

Hey bernie,, tell me. just whats at stake here ? we could loose the sevenstock event ? all together... don't take any of this wrong,okay. last year mazda, yes mazda themselves were selling parts. where they were handing out the rx8 stickers.the building could be called a garage but i think they call it the McGAW building. selling mazda shirts, mis-matched driving lights ... that kind of stuff.
I remember.... and it was a great event, nothing like it and after this weekend
we have nothing to look forward too now or is that pending. you know i said i would help out at the event, but for some reason you kicked me out of the SoCal rx club. i played ball, i don't know why though but it's all good. i'm just breaking your ***** bernie,, see you at SS7.

i would like someone to bring me an e-fan with thermostat, preferrably black magic. also rb header for 12a, and maybe some strut bars? also oil pan gasket, and a steering column plastic cover that isnt broken for an 82. i know i am forgetting something.

The PERMIT that Mazda pulls from the city does not allow for individual sales or even sales from the vendors. If we allowed this, the venue would be subject to more strict SWAP MEET rules, which includes strict inspection of all canopies and structures by the Department of Building and Safety and a way higher permit fee, that includes paper work to the franchise and exhange commission.

On Mazda, they were not selling for profit, they were taking minimum "DONATIONS" on all of the products they exchanged. ALL of the proceeds that were collected went directly to the JDRF (Junior Diabetes Research Foundation) charity. We raised over $4000 last year. You see, sales and charitble donations are different.

To be real honest, I don't think that I've even met you personally, no offense meant, but have you ever been out to a club event beyond SevenStock?? Also, how did you play ball and just how were you a club member.... haaa really confused here!
