stuck side seals

stuck side seals

12a, iam rebuilding my rotors and my side seals are stuck. i tried to pry them out but the corner seal slot. but they broke now i have nothing to get a grip. what do you guys do?

You need to soak the rotors in some type of solvent to loosen the carbon. I use a small screwdriver to pry them out and pliers once there's enough to grip. They can be a real bitch.

I soak them in Berryman's Carb Cleaner. You can buy it in gallon/5 gallon containers. It's not cheap stuff, but works great. Use an old side seal to help pry the stuck ones out.
