okay, i understand that to the blind or retarded, my post may have looked like it read "Elysian, i want your opinion on if there are clearance issues with the CP Racing/Rotorhead strut tower brace." for that i apologize. that wasn't my intention.

so let me restate as to keep opinions out of this: does anyone here have the brace and an IDA on their car?

this was pirated from www.rotorhead.ca (sorry, Manntis )

I would suggest (if you are paranoid about fitment that is) to build your own.

Otherwise find someone with one of those braces that is willing to take measurements, then (if you have IDA on your 7) you take a bunch of measurements in corresponding areas and see if things will fit.

BTW
The bars Rotorhead sells ARE the CP bars.
They're an authorized dealer for them (going back to the days before CP had a website).

And I would suggest e-mailing Chris at CP about the fitment issues. As I recall he tested the bars with a whole bunch of different carb set-ups, but being an EFI guy myself, you'll probably want to double-check....

well, i was worried about the front end of the filter assembly, but even though Rotarx7 is not using the exact same bar, he is running a 13B with IDA - that's what i'll have - and there seems to be a good 6 inches or so (judging from the photo) of clearance. i wasn't too concerned with right-side firewall section of the CP Racing/Rotorhead brace. so i feel confident about getting the bar.

thanks guys.

Seth,

It will be difficult to get it to match the paint in your engine compartment.
