True, that will only tell you if they flex out. But they will flex in more or less the same amount that they flex out when the same g-forces are applied right? either way, its a cheap way to figure out if you need a bar.

it is worth a shot, but the whole string thing seems a little inconclusive to me..

yes it wouldnt work as well as described,

you see your preventing the struts from moving up and down,

not in and out

actually its both, but mainly in and out. look at the cross section on a strut bar. its horizontally larger. usually over half too.
