Storage Bin Water

Hey all,

Does anyone know what would cause water in the storage bins other than the little rubber plugs being missing?

The water is clean, so i'm thinking it hase somthing to do with the sunroof drain, but I cant find the hose. Does anyone know where it's routed?

Rusted out wheel wheels! Get the storage bins outta there and have a good look at the wheel wheels. If you can't see it all, then pull out the carpet/metal the houses the storage bins/interior peices and have a good look at where your water is coming in.

If you can't see it, pull the bins and have someone spray a hose on the inside of the wheel well and see where it comes in.

Well, the wheel wells look solid. The car isn't mine just yet, so I don't want to disassemble the thing.

There is no rust to speak of, just a lot of water. And the water is clean and clear, which is leading me to think (hope) it's just a bad drain. The car has sat for some time, and we've recently had a rather large snow melt (for VA anyway) so I don't think it's water getting kicked up into the wells.

Is there anything else it could be?

If I were you I wouldn't buy the car without taking a Philips screw driver and removing the plastic compartments in the storage bins. It will only take 5 minutes and it will be definitely worth it. That is the most common place for FB cancer.
