stock stereo

Hey guys, I just bought an 84' GS, but I'm having some electrical difficulties, i hope someone can help me out.

1. The car's got the stock tuner and stereo, the 2 clarion amps, but the left side speakers dont work properly, The right side works fine, but if i put the balance on the left, and turn the volume to max, i hear the music playin if i put my ear really close to them. I find it odd since its both left speakers, and i've gone over the wiring. Is there something i'm overlookng???

2. Hazard lights, when i flip on the hazard switch, only the left hazard lights flash, though the right indicator works fine, i know i can use them at the same time if necessary, but just wondering what the cause of this may be...

Thanks in advance.

the problem with the stereo is a poor connection somewhere in the system. the hazard lights may be doing that because of a bad or slowly going bad flasher computer. the flasher cpu is located under the dash on the left side and mounts to the inner well of the body there. it is a black box with i think 2 connectors and what looks like a small grill. check there. also, welcome to the forum.

I place blame on the stereo to a bad balance control or the little joystick thingy

Thx for the advice, for some reason, today the left side speakers started working a bit better, not fully, but better, then later on in the day, they went out again, around the same time i discovered my gas tank is leaking....

I poop on the stock stereo. Replace it with a nice one.
