That's a good deal you got! I'm about 95% sure about your wheels, cause that one looks exactly like a 15x6 Enkei.

I forgot the actual name brand of the compound (don't have it anymore), but I bought it from a constuction supply store locally.

The ones (compounds) I bought were label as heavy/medium/fine.

These are the types of buffing wheels I used.
Buffing Wheels

Here a buffing kit on Eastwood.com that'll give you some more information.

Hope this helps.

I dig it. The chromed wheel looks great... What'd you use before you used the buffing wheels? Cause I know the stock wheels have this kinda texture, like a fresnel lens... Or at least mine do.

Yea I would think youd have to use a sanding compoud of some sort to remove the machining lines that Pele is talking about.

I know the texture your talking about, it's like a clear coat with circle texture embossed into it or something.

I used a steel wire brush (one made for a drill) to get that stuff and all the oxidation off the wheel first before i took the polishing compounds to them

One of these with a drill bit attachment.

Yeah, I know you're on there, Denny was wrong about my wheels They are not enkei's either, they do look a lot like them, but they are defiantly different. I think they are Riken wheels. The pic of them in gold is AFTER I cleaned them, it took about 1 hour a pice. The guy I bought them from used them for auto-x only, wheels were 1/2 covered in caked on brake dust. The tires on them were torn up so bad, steel belts were not only snowing, but torn up and shreaded so there were many sharp wires sticking out all over. They cleaned up very nice, and I would have left them gold, but I was a little too harsh cleaning them, and stripped off some of the gold. The lip was also very dull, but it cleaned up nicely with some mothers mag polish and a rag.

These are Enkei's:

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want Mar3's rims

He has some AUTO BAHN WEDS!!!! He just wont let go of them!!! They look similar to the enkies posted above..
But the lip is flat, and look a WHOLE LOT BETTER IMHO

If i could find some inbetween 15-17 maybe 18, i would be delighted as hell!!!!

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want some, and when im not as broke, i will hunt some down..... I dont really care if they are SE bolt pattern either, or anyother cause there is wheel adaptors..

Anywyas, those RIkens look kick ***... I have some 13" enkies that look JUST LIKE THEM! gold in the center, and a polished lip... Im thinking of painting the sides of the wires thingies black, and polish the front of it!!Should look perdy damn good....

And those polished stock rims dont look bad niether!!!

Just my $.02

Wheel adaptors?

Do they make anything that will allow me to install 4 x 114.3 wheels I have?

The 84 GSL is a 4 x 110mm pattern I believe. All I know for sure is my 114.3 Motegi Racing wheels won't fit.

Call Mariah Motorsports tell them about your wheels and ask 'em about their wheel spacers.

http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/wheels.htm

It's worth a shot.

edit -- AIM Industries also makes wheel adapters, http://www.truckn-store.com/product_list.asp?id=1244

I've been meaning to post up a pic of one of my wheels with one of the centercaps. I never keep the centercaps on so they are clean and the wheel is not - coloring looks a little off, but you get the idea. I will admit that it's possible these are centercaps off some other rims, but they came with the rims, and so far I have yet to hear a decent argument as to why they are not Enkeis, so I'm going to go ahead and believe they are until it is proven otherwise.

just look on the reverse side of the rim it will tell you the size, off-set, and manufacture.

I've checked before, and I'm about 95% positive there's no manufacturer listed. I may be wrong, it was a long time ago.
