Stock Nikki w/Holley Blue pump?

I'm finally getting a running motor for my 85 GS. I used to have a Mikuni carb on it but sold it when I was planning a TII swap. I still have the stock Nikki carb and manifold but I don't have the stock fuel pump anymore. Will the Holley blue pump that is on there now work with the Nikki carb? I'm going to have to do some changes to the carb since I took out the rats nest but I don't know how much fuel flow the stock carb can take. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, but turn it down as low as you can until you can get a regulator. Have someone look down the carb throats when you turn the keys on to make sure you are not flooding the carb.

He needs a regulator. The Holley blue pushes 14psi.

What were you doing w/the Mikuni..? I ask, b/c the Nikki and the Mikuni should be around the same pressure... 3.5 give or take.

Jeezus, how would he turn it down w/out a regulator...??

I'll have a regulator inline but what should I run the pressure at? If I remember right the stock pump runs less than 7psi. Should I run that or start lower?

I knew it was real low. I'll try 3psi and see what happens. I'm going to rebuild the Nikki before I put it on so maybe I'll do a little modding while it's apart. Thanks for the help.
