Stock 12A Idle Up.

Ok i have a stock 12A. the problem i am having trouble with is the Air conditioning Idle up controller. this is a last change before i go to the dealer.

i have chacked all vacumn lines, but the problem seams to be with the vacumn switch thing on the carby, but it does move when the Air con is turned on.

doesn anyone know how the Idle up for the Air conditioning works? i have a fair idea, but cannot find any probs, all valves and swithces seam to be working. is there anything i have missed?

Theres a black valve type of thing behind the carb on the drivers side, it has a screw coming out of it, thats the dash pot and controls the a/c idle. If your a/c vacuum switch is working, try turning the screw on top with the a/c on and see if that helps kick it up. But dont go to far or it will hunt up and down for high idle.

1985 gs is right on. The screw turns OUT (counter clockwise) for a higher idle, and like he said, too far and it starts to hunt for a set point, up and down, up and down.
